Support the people who support your community.
True Ally helps nonprofit, community, healthcare, and social service organizations strengthen leadership, reflective supervision, staff wellbeing, and the systems that shape everyday work.
Our approach is grounded in social work, mental health, and community practice, with attention to the demands of people-serving work: complex needs, limited resources, organizational change, and the emotional impact of supporting others.

Reflective supervision & mentorship
Build supervision practices that create room for critical thinking, professional judgment, learning, and support. Develop structures that help supervisors and staff reflect on complex situations and identify thoughtful next steps.

Experience rooted in your sector
Led by Sharlene Gumbs, MSW, RSW, True Ally brings experience across mental health, healthcare, community services, and organizational consultation. Sharlene’s work connects direct practice with leadership, workforce wellbeing, and the systems around people.
True Ally’s workshop experience includes the George Hull Centre for Children and Families and the Black Talent Initiative’s Ignite Conference. Our work creates space for reflection while offering practical tools people can use in their own settings.
Flexible ways to work together
Engagements can include workshops, a leadership series, reflective consultation, policy and program review, or ongoing advisory support. We agree on the goals, scope, and delivery format together.
Based in Ontario, True Ally offers virtual consulting across Canada. In-person delivery can be discussed based on location and scheduling.
